J. Cole has had my attention since I first heard his mixtape. I've been a fan. But, there is something different about his mindset and music this time around. He has been visible in the Michael Brown/Ferguson protests. He's used his voice to give this cause some shine. His new cd "2014 Forest Hills Drive" is so dope to me. I love the growth in his lyrics and his beat selection is great. During his promo run, he performed "Be Free" on David Letterman. Which is amazing for two reasons. This song is not on his new cd. It's the song he recorded after Brown was killed. It was such a raw performance. I loved it. I wish he would've included it on his new project. He followed that up with a very open and honest interview with Power 105's Angie Martinez. Both are videos you need to watch. J. Cole is amazing to me. He has solidified it with this project. Get into this.

Just Because I Felt Like It: Jay Z Interview
It's no secret that I love Jay Z. Absolutely love the guy. I am a fan of his music, his shows and his personality. He has this dry sarcastic sense of humor that speaks to me because I have it too. I've never seen this interview from a few years ago with Howard Stern. It was right after the release of Jay's book "Decoded." So, I had to share it with you guys. It's actually one of my favorite interviews. Howard was really good about asking questions that aren't the norm. I loved how open Jay was. I truly enjoyed it. I know any Jay fan will as well. Get into it!

Rant: Dude, Shut Up!
After seeing this Jamie Rohrs character give interview after interview, I've come to one conclusion. He is a punk. Being in a dark theater and a maniac is shooting people may make one panic. I do not understand how a father could place his 4 month old baby boy on the floor. Or leave his then girlfriend and her 4 year old daughter in the theater. Or jump over a balcony and flee the theater. Or get in his car and leave the scene without his family. Why is he giving interviews and crying as if he's a hero?? He is scum. And, that proposal at the hospital seems suspect. His fiancee is a fool for accepting. If a man loves me then leaving me in harm's way would not be an option. I really want Rohrs to stop showing his face and talking. I cannot even wrap my mind around the fact that this woman accepted his proposal. Just sad all the way around. In my opinion, Rohrs is a coward. And, who wants to marry a coward? Not me!
